We all love Valentines Day when we’re in a relationship and dread it as Single Awareness Day when we’re alone. But it’s just a day like any other, and if you find yourself having a hard time coping with the fact that you’re dateless on a day that’s all about love and romance…here are a few ideas on things to do to avoid loneliness setting in. The entertainment industry is a tough field to be in. I am one of the fortunate ones to end up with a great job that I enjoy (well most of the time haha), but not everyone in this industry can be so lucky. I was perusing some job listings, just for fun today and I couldn’t help but feel shocked by some of the stuff I read. I can only hope that years from now when we’re the major players of tomorrow that we can put a stop to some of this and make life better for those at the bottom of the entertainment food chain…. Alec Greven is the best-selling author of How To Talk To Girls…which was published when he was only 9 years old!! This adorable kid is wise beyond his years…boys triple his age can learn a thing or two from the precocious tyke.
My favorite piece of advice from young Alec is “if you wanna talk to a girl, don’t go flapping your arms around like a mad man.” Or flapping your mouth around. I can’t tell you how unattractive it is for a guy to go on and on about himself trying to impress a girl. Trying to make yourself seem cool is a huge turnoff…what DOES make someone cool is not caring about what anyone else thinks and never feeling the need to impress anyone. It creates an air of mysticism that is attractive and interesting to girls. Let the girl ask you questions to get to know you…don’t divulge everything right up front without prompt. After all, it’s not bragging if she asks 🙂
I’m by no means rich, but it’s nice to know that I’m beyond the days of living on ramen and barely scraping by. In honor of being past that stage, I’ve decided to take a look back on some of the silly ways I tried to save money over the years. Gee I’m glad to be past this period of my life! Continue reading
So I was reading The Frisky and came across this picture! It reminded me of my new years resolution and latest obsession–Moksha Yoga. In 2010 I became obsessed with Bikram yoga. It’s funny because I had always insisted that I “didn’t like yoga”…it was “too slow.” I liked cardio. My roommate at the time dragged me to a Bikram class and I was shocked by how challenging it was (it was totally cardio) and how good I felt afterwards. I was addicted to going for months, but then I moved and there weren’t any studios nearby. Lucky for me, a fabulous hot yoga studio opened up right on La Brea and 3rd–which is only about 7 minutes from my house and I’ve fallen in love all over again. I urge any Bikram lovers to try out this other form of hot yoga, it’s a great workout and a lot of fun as well!
Here are a few of the benefits of hot yoga… Continue reading
2011 certainly had it’s ups and downs. My love life was rather dull and I faced several medical issues, but on the plus side, it was the first year when I started to really feel like a grown up–I started paying my own rent, bought a new car, settled down and finally got a Cali license! Here’s hoping 2012 is even better!!
Here are my new year’s resolutions… Continue reading

Need a fun holiday party pleaser? Look no further. This weekend I decided to go all domestic and took a stab at holiday cake balls. The experiment was so successful (aka delicious and adorable) that I decided to do a little blog post outlining the process. It’s actually quite easy and fun (notice I did not say quick), but if you have a day or two before you need these treats, they are definitely a great way to go. I’m by no means a baker, so if I can do it, most anyone can!
